Mt. Rainier National Park
August 23, 2016 – Day #4
Today was a wonderful day visiting the
incredible Mt Rainier. It was a great day trip, about 2 1/2 hours from our camp
in Yakima to Mt. Rainier National Park. The drive was ever changing with Aspen,
Fir, Pine Trees, wild flowers and amazing rock formations. Several vista points
provided us with breath taking views of the incredible scenery. Much of the
route was along the Tieton River. In
Paradise, WA at the National Park Visitor Center we learned that Mt. Rainier
was established as, the 5th National Park, is the tallest volcano in
the Cascade Range, and has the most glaciers in the continental United States,
and oh yes - we think this mountain is one of most beautiful sights we have had
the good fortune to visit.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the search for the perfect Manhattan continues. See if you can find one made with Luxardo cherries next time. They are much like Amarena cherries. Have you tried making one with the port yet?
Safe travels, friends! I hope the windshield makes it to Connecticut.
I guess there is a problem commenting with my iPad. I will do some research on that. Technology! Sheesh!
